This January, I will be walking the Miami Half-Marathon as part of Team Lifeline. Every dollar I raise and every mile I walk will raise awareness and critical funds for Chai Lifeline, a wonderful organization dedicated to helping very sick children and their families. Chai Lifeline is an international children’s health support network that provides critical year-round programs and services to nearly 6,000 families confronting pediatric illness.
Chai Lifeline’s programs and services help families navigate the complexities of childhood illness and restore joy and happiness. Chai lifelines incredible recourses include counseling, case management, meals delivered to hospitals and homes, transportation to medical appointments, insurance advocacy, Big Brother and Big Sister programming, or Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special medically-supervised summer camps.
I am excited to raise funds and give back to an organization that has personally helped my family so much. For many years my son’s life was filled with medical appointments, therapies, wearing an uncomfortable back brace, and missing out on school and sports. Coping with a chronic condition seemed to limit his ability to just have fun and be a kid. Along came Chai Lifeline and Noah got the big brother he’d always wanted, several of them! One year, when he was in a day hospital program and out of school for a month, they sent a DJ and made a party at our house with a few of his friends. For 5 summers the best 12 days of the year were at Camp Simcha Special. I am so grateful to the staff and volunteers of Chai Lifeline.
If the children of Chai Lifeline can fight each day, if they can push themselves through medical tests, hospital stays and treatments, I can do this for them. But I can't do this without your support. I need your help to raise as much money as possible for these kids. So please, push the donate button and help me put smiles on the faces of sick children. Let's do this together!
My goal is to raise $8,000, but I need your help. Every donation is 100% tax deductible. Please join me in supporting this important organization by contributing to my personal runner page.
