I'll shave off my beard if I hit $10k!!!!!

UPDATE:
If I hit $10,000 by the end of January, I will shave off my beard. Clean shaven. For the first time in 5 years. And I'll email you all a picture.
Weird year, huh?
If you're at all like me, the past 18 months have been pretty challenging year. Remote schooling, remote working, furloughs, budget cuts, penny-pinching. Businesses have been lost, lost revenue, shut down, or slowed operation.
And as terrible as all those things are, it's not the worst of it. The worst are those who have been sick, had loved-ones sick, or worse, from this pandemic.
Throughout all of this, there is one organization that not only hasn't shut down, it's stepped up. Big time. In ways that we can only imagine.
That organization is Chai Lifeline.
Chai Lifeline (chailifeline.org) offers social, emotional, and financial support to families struggling with a child who is ill.
However hard this year has been for many of us, imagine how much worse it's been for the kids and families of Chai Lifeline. Hospital staff even more strung out than usual. No one visiting. Even more seclusion than normal. Families getting extra financial hits. Increased rick of getting sick. With no reprieve in sight.
But Chai Lifeline wouldn't let that happen. They were still there, every step of the way, supporting not only their usual clientele, but all those hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.
So no matter how hard it is to support an organization during this crazy year, this is certainly one that even more so this year, has been carrying people and keeping them from the brink, and they need our help.
So I ask you, please dig deep. Last year, I ran my 5th run, with Team Lifeline Without Borders, and am gearing up for #6. Help me raise $5,000 by race day. Your tax deductible contributions can be made either on-line teamlifeline.org/miami22/gprero or by sending me a check (3028 W. Fargo Ave., Chicago, IL 60645) โ and are greatly appreciated.
We are not out of the woods yet. And no matter how long it takes, Chai Lifeline will be shining a light for all those that need it, guiding the way until they see the light at the end of this tunnel.
Let's help keep them stocked on batteries.
Together, we can accomplish something really special.
