When my 7 year old son Zev was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in September 2024, my family's lives turned upside down.

From the very beginning of our family's cancer journey, Chai Lifeline was there for us. They have sent us toys to lift the kids' spirits around holidays, called to check in and to connect us to resources, and so much more. Each visit to New York City is filled with food and volunteers to make our stay more comfortable and to lift Zev's spirits. Zev knows that whenever he goes to Memorial Sloan Kettering, Shmily from Chai Lifeline will be there with a donut for him. This summer, Zev is so excited to go to Camp Simcha to have a ton of fun and meet new friends from across the country.

This November, I am running the New York City Marathon as a member of Team Lifeline to raise money for Chai Lifeline. Running a marathon is a difficult undertaking, but I have learned so much about determination and rising to the challenge from my beautiful boy throughout his treatment.

I’ve set a challenging goal for myself to raise $18,000 in support of Chai Lifeline. Your generous donation will help me move closer to my goal and make a difference in the lives of kids like Zev as they go through difficult diagnoses and treatment. Thank you for your support!

Love, Marissa
