This coming February (2025), I will be returning to Miami to run my third Miami Marathon as part of Team Lifeline’s “Team Sophie” to honour the memory of Sophie Spangenthal.

Chai Lifeline is an international children’s health support network that provides critical year-round programs and services to nearly 6,000 families confronting pediatric illness.

Camp Simcha is an annual summer camp where 500 seriously ill children are treated to unforgettable, medically supervised overnight camp experiences, For Sophie, Camp Simcha was a dreamland where she had the chance to be whatever she wanted to be, surrounded by some of the most incredible friends, counsellors and staff.

On a personal level, Sophie had a profound effect on my family. Her beautiful smile would light up a room, her energy was infectious, and during her illness, her strength and courage was inspiring.

Owing to knee surgery I was unable to participate in the 2024 marathon, but I'm ready to tackle 26 miles again by channeling Sophie’s strength and determination. Please join me in supporting Chai Lifeline, an important organization, and sharing awareness of its incredible impact.

Together, we can make a difference.

Thank you for your support!
