Team Yidel

Meet Yidel, an 11-year-old with a spark. Yidel faced a life-altering diagnosis—Osteosarcoma. This year has been a whirlwind of challenges for him and his family. This past summer, Yidel experienced the magic of Camp Simcha for the very first time, and it was nothing short of life-changing.

For Yidel, Camp Simcha wasn’t about just one favorite activity—everything was the best. But if there was one thing that truly resonated with him, it was the music. Yidel found solace and joy in singing, and one of his most cherished memories was recording a single in the camp's recording studio. The song he poured his heart into is more than just music; it’s a testament to his resilience, his spirit, and the power of hope. You can listen to the song here on the Team Yidel page.

Beyond the music, Yidel formed deep connections with the Achim B’yachad volunteers, who quickly became like family. Together, they laughed, played, and shared unforgettable moments. The Benny Friedman and Mordechai Shapiro concerts were the highlights of his summer, filling his heart with joy and giving him the strength to keep fighting.

Now, Yidel’s journey continues, and you can be a part of it. By joining Team Yidel and running in his honor, you’ll be supporting not only Yidel but also countless other children battling illness. Your participation will help provide the love, support, and services these children and their families need during their most challenging times.

Run for Yidel, run for hope, and run for the joy that Camp Simcha brings to children like him. Let Yidel’s song inspire you to make a difference. Together, we can help Yidel and others like him continue to find their voice, their strength, and their joy.
