This January, I will ( attempt to!) run the marathon with Team Infirmary. Every dollar I raise and every mile I run will benefit Chai Lifeline, an international children’s health support network that provides critical year-round programs and services to nearly 6,000 families confronting pediatric illness.

Because I’ve had the privilege to work at Camp Simcha for 6 years, two as a nurse, I cannot wait to raise funds for an organization that I know is truly life changing for so many children.

Camp is an unbelievable environment for these kids: in camp, they are no longer different: they are finally amongst equal-minded children with similar challenges and experiences. And just as important: in Camp Simcha they can truly be themselves. There’s no denying it, from the moment these kids pull out of camp, they begin to count down the days until it begins again.
